About this calculator

eDPI (effective dots per inch) is the standard way competitive FPS players normalize mouse aim settings across games and hardware: it's simply mouse DPI × in-game sensitivity. Because every game's raw sensitivity slider maps to a different real-world cursor speed, comparing raw sensitivity numbers between two players — or between two games — tells you almost nothing on its own.

eDPI fixes that by producing one comparable number: two setups with the same eDPI move your crosshair the same physical distance on screen for the same mouse movement, regardless of how each game's slider is scaled. It's the go-to metric pro players, coaches, and aim-training communities use when sharing or comparing settings across titles like Valorant, CS2, and Overwatch.
