About this calculator
Most subscription plans — mobile data, cloud hosting, SaaS API calls, utility metering — include a fixed allowance in the base price and then bill any usage above it at a per-unit overage rate, which is almost always priced higher than the effective in-plan rate as an incentive to upgrade.
This calculator applies that logic directly: usage minus allowance, times the overage rate, gives the extra charge. It's the same math carriers and cloud providers use on your bill, useful for checking a statement, budgeting for a plan that's about to be exceeded, or comparing whether upgrading to a bigger plan would actually be cheaper than paying overages.
