About this calculator

A three-term ratio A:B:C compares three quantities at once and is simplified by dividing every term by their greatest common divisor (GCD), the same way a two-term ratio is reduced — so 12:18:30 simplifies to 2:3:5 once divided by their GCD of 6. Once simplified, each term's share of the whole is just that term divided by the sum of all three, expressed as a percentage.

This calculator takes any three values and returns the simplified ratio plus each part's percentage of the total. Cooks and bartenders use three-term ratios to scale recipes and cocktail mixes, contractors use them for concrete or mortar mixes (e.g. cement:sand:gravel), and small-business partners use them to split profits or equity three ways in fixed proportions.
