About this calculator

The 2-mile run is a core cardiorespiratory event on the U.S. Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) and similar military and law-enforcement fitness tests, scored on a points scale where a fast time such as 13:30 earns a maximum 100 points and a slower time near 22:00 sits closer to the 60-point minimum needed to pass, with the exact scale varying by age and sex category. Because pass/fail and promotion points hinge on this single number, converting a raw finish time into a score matters as much as the run itself.

Service members, recruits and law-enforcement candidates use 2-mile scoring to check where a training run stands against test requirements, and to reverse-engineer the pace they need to hold to hit a target score before test day rather than finding out on the actual test.

This calculator takes your 2-mile finish time and returns your ACFT-style score, your average pace, whether you pass, and the finish time needed to reach a target score.
