This calculator takes any date and determines which of the four fiscal/calendar quarters (Q1: Jan–Mar, Q2: Apr–Jun, Q3: Jul–Sep, Q4: Oct–Dec) it falls into, plus the day number within that quarter.

Accountants and finance teams use it to align transactions with quarterly reporting periods, business analysts use it to bucket sales or metrics data by quarter for trend comparisons, and project managers use it when planning deliverables around quarterly milestones.
