About this calculator

This calculator works out how much sod (turf) you need for a lawn: enter the area to cover, and it converts that into square footage plus the number of rolls or pallets to order, based on standard sod piece sizes.

Homeowners planting a new lawn and landscapers quoting installation jobs use it to avoid under-ordering (which means a delayed delivery) or over-ordering (which means wasted sod that dies before it can be laid). It saves the manual math of converting an odd-shaped yard into standard sod units.
