Stone veneer is sold and installed in two distinct products with different units: flat panels priced and measured by square footage for wall faces, and corner pieces priced by linear foot for outside corners, since a true corner piece wraps two faces at once and can't be measured in square feet the same way. Total flat coverage is wall area minus door/window openings, and total corner length is simply the sum of all outside corner heights — both then padded with a waste allowance (commonly 5-15%) to cover cuts, breakage, and pattern matching.

This calculator takes your wall dimensions, openings, total corner length, and waste percentage and returns the square footage of flat veneer and linear footage of corner pieces to order. Masons and general contractors use it to generate accurate material orders and quotes before a job, and DIY homeowners use it to avoid under-buying (which risks a mismatched dye-lot on a reorder) or over-buying an expensive material.
