A volume tier discount (or quantity-break pricing) lowers the per-unit price once an order crosses a defined quantity threshold — for example 5% off at 50 units, 10% off at 200 units. This calculator takes the ordered quantity and base unit price, applies the matching tier's discount percentage, and returns the discounted unit price, total cost, and total savings versus paying full price throughout.

Tiered pricing is a standard tool in B2B sales, wholesale distribution, and manufacturing procurement, where suppliers use it to reward larger orders that reduce per-order handling costs, and buyers use it to decide whether bulking up an order across a price break actually saves money. Purchasing managers and e-commerce merchants also use tier calculators to model discount schedules before publishing them to customers.
