About this calculator

This calculator shows how much you would weigh on other planets and the Moon by scaling your Earth weight by the ratio of each body's surface gravity to Earth's (9.81 m/s²). Surface gravity depends on a body's mass and radius, which is why the Moon (about 1/6 of Earth's gravity) makes you feel far lighter, while Jupiter (about 2.5 times Earth's gravity) would make you feel much heavier — even though your actual mass never changes.

It's a popular tool for science education, helping students grasp the difference between mass (constant everywhere) and weight (a force that depends on local gravity), and it's widely used to illustrate Newton's law of universal gravitation. Enter your weight on Earth to see the equivalent across the Moon and all the planets in the solar system.
